"When I was 21, and still in college, I bought myself my first mini Dachshund - Kona. She went with me absolutely everywhere, and would even sleep under my desk in my architecture studio class. I had her for 16 beautiful, soul sharing years; she lived with me in four different states and greeted all three of my children as they joined our family over the years. I will never forget who she was to me at a time when I needed that companionship the most. She saved me more than I could ever explain."
